Our Product at Work
Solutions and innovations put into practice by 9Now team.
9Now is Australia's leading free-to-air streaming service, with a focus on delivering top-notch coverage of the Olympics Games for the next 10 years, starting with the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games in Paris in 2024.
For 9Now, the team has a proud track record of pioneering features that enhance user experience. They were the first BVOD platform to provide free-to-air channels in Full HD (1080p, 50FPS) with Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound, offering viewers unparalleled audio and visual quality.
Its innovative Start Over feature allows viewers to catch up on the beginning of a program while watching Live TV, setting 9Now apart as the first and only BVOD app with this capability.
Expanding 9Now’s horizons across web, mobile, and connected TV devices, the team recently launched on various new devices, including Hisense, Foxtel IQ, and Roku TV’s, giving users more options to access their favourite content.
To cater to evolving content preferences, they also introduced vodcasts (video podcasts) on 9Now, accompanying some of its most popular programs, further enriching the viewer experience.
Breaking records is in the DNA here, as demonstrated by the achievement of hosting the biggest single live streaming event in Australia with the State of Origin. The team’s commitment to sports streaming is unwavering, and it takes pride in supporting and monetising some of Australia's most beloved sporting events, including the Australian Open, The Olympics and Paralympics and the NRL Premiership series.
