Celebrating Pride at Nine
Here at Nine we connect people through storytelling.
By supporting our LGBTQ+ people to express their authentic selves, we create better content, tell more original stories, and contribute to a stronger, more inclusive media landscape for Australia.
The Progress & Our Initiatives
We are on a continuous journey of education, celebration, and advocacy. Our people are at the centre of our initiatives, ensuring the voice of lived experience is influencing the changes we need to make so we can all thrive. Nine's Pride Community (ERG) is a key enabler of this approach, and is dedicated to creating meaningful change through a number of key pillars:
Fostering Connection: We regularly bring our teams together to celebrate queer culture. Our legendary Pride Trivia Nights held across our offices are just one of the ways we foster connection, visibility, and joy in the workplace
Building Active Allyship: We provide ongoing engagement sessions, resources, and consultation with internal and external communities to ensure genuine education and visible allyship across all levels of leadership.
Inclusive Storytelling: From our internal teams to the audiences we serve, LGBTQ+ representation matters. Whether it’s through inclusive reporting in Publishing, diverse casting across our Broadcast and Stan platforms, or amplifying queer voices through Pedestrian Group, our commitment is embedded in how we tell Australia's stories.
