Pedestrian Group
Back in 2005, when Kim Kardashian was still best known for carrying Paris Hilton’s shopping bags, a world-first ‘Plastizine’ (DVD magazine, for the uninitiated) began cropping up all around Australia – it was called PEDESTRIAN.TV.
After taking the internet by storm and resonating with Aussies in an entirely new way, PEDESTRIAN.TV graduated from a single digital publication to a home of leading brands that now includes VICE Australia and New Zealand, Refinery29 Australia, The Chainsaw, Lifehacker Australia, Gizmodo Australia, and Kotaku Australia, as well as Openair Cinemas.
Pedestrian Group is now a digital powerhouse as Australia's leading youth-centred publisher, reaching a unique audience of more than 3.62 million Aussies per month.
Working at Pedestrian Group
Although there are over 110 people currently in the Pedestrian Group team, working with PG always feels like a tight-knit gang.
We have dedicated offices in both Sydney and Melbourne, and our Brisbane team continues to grow.
Our fortnightly Showcase meetings, held every Thursday, provide a platform for every team to proudly present their hard work and exciting projects. It's here that we also recognize our MVP of the month, nominated by peers.
Regular team bonding is a massive part of the Pedestrian Group culture. Whether it's knockoffs at the local, engaging in team-building activities, exploring diverse cultural experiences, attending our annual company-wide summits, or simply gathering for a laid-back office BBQ on the balcony with a DJ and a cheeky margarita station because it would be very rude not to.
Pedestrian Group is a great place to begin a rewarding career in media. Whether you’re a recent college graduate ready to dive in head first or currently attending studies and eager to find a summer job. Our RAD Grads program will give you a taste of what publishing is about, and a bunch of transferable skills and experience to boot.
We surround ourselves with the brightest minds in the industry to produce work that is challenging, cutting-edge, and always pushing boundaries.
