Nine's Reconciliation Journey
Nine embraces its role in Australia's Reconciliation journey, and is committed to transformative actions of cultural inclusion and respect in partnership with YarnnUp.
Our vision is to significantly impact the path to a more equitable and inclusive Australia by building strong, enduring relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
We envision a future where First Nations voices and perspectives are integrated throughout our business by building understanding and cultural capability across all of our teams; creating an environment where our people feel empowered to contribute to this vision through our First Nations Engagement Strategy and Reconciliation Action Plan. In doing so, we will ensure that Nine reflects Australia's rich cultural diversity and actively celebrates it in all that we do.
By walking together with First Nations peoples, we seek to set new standards for cultural integrity and leadership, contributing to a unified and reconciled Australia. We are on a journey, and we recognise that there is work to be done which will take some time as we build our understanding and cultural capability.

Yarnnup is an Aboriginal-owned consultancy and training organisation that has partnered with Nine to provide a more positive future for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
Our partnership with YarnnUp will provide significant and important advice across our program of work, lifting our own capabilities and the experience of our First Nations employees and the wider community and audiences we serve.
Nine's Reconciliation Action Plan
A Collaborative Journey
In early 2025, our RAP (Reconciliation Action Plan) working group attended an art workshop hosted by Ginny Jones. This provided an opportunity for attendees to to yarn through what their aspirations in reconciliation looked like for Nine and understand the importance of symbols and their meaning in this journey.
About the Artist
Ginny Jones is a proud Gomeroi and Kooma woman whose wearable art blends fashion, culture, and storytelling to foster meaningful dialogue.
As the founder of Ginny’s Girl Gang, she creates upcycled denim and digital designs that carry powerful messages of Aboriginal heritage, positivity, and respect.
Recognised by outlets like Vogue and worn by high-profile figures, her work acts as a bridge between communities, inviting authentic engagement with First Nations stories.
Artist Statement
This visual narrative honours traditional First Nations artistic approaches while bringing my own contemporary interpretation, creating an authentic reflection of Nine's journey toward reconciliation.
As someone who has witnessed this process from its beginnings, I've woven elements that speak to the organisation's evolving commitment - past acknowledgments, present actions, and future aspirations. My hope is that this artwork resonates deeply with Nine's team members, First Nations partners, industry peers, and all Australians as we continue walking this path together, learning and growing with each step forward.
